christian affirmations

Are affirmations biblical?

YES! There are affirmations based in scripture. However, there are affirmations that are not. As Christians we must be careful to ground what we say to ourselves in God's Word.

Can Christians use affirmations?

YES! God Affirms You uses common affirmations, or "I am" statements, and demonstrates how Christians can use affirmations when our thinking is based on Bible principles.

What is the difference between secular and Christian affirmations?

Find the answer to this question, and more, on the Bible How-To blog page here.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

This is a much needed piece.  I could give one of these to most of my clients.  It is well written.  Lindsay’s writing style is engaging and easy to understand…I particularly like the last chapter. It's rich, it's meaningful and extremely helpful.

Pastor Dúane Schoonard, LMHP

As both a psychologist and a Christian, I found this book to be a refreshing and thought-provoking exploration of self-criticism through the lens of faith. Lindsay beautifully bridges psychology and Scripture in a way that challenges me to think more deeply, often leaving me wanting to pause and reread each chapter before continuing. Her writing is accessible and engaging, while the practical, actionable steps she offers makes it easy to begin replacing self-criticism with God's truth. This is a book I'll return to again and again.

Heather Nudd, PhD, Professor of Psychology

As I read through each chapter, I was encouraged by the thoughtful way she integrates biblical truth with psychological principles. Rather than offering superficial positivity or suggesting readers simply “think happier thoughts,” she consistently invites them to examine the beliefs they have carried, reflect honestly on their experiences and anchor their identity in what God says about them. Throughout the manuscript, I found the guidance to be compassionate, balanced and deeply rooted in Scripture.

Dhana Clarkson, LMHP
